Just saw Luis for the first time in Las Vegas at MGM Grand on 9/13/02. Had seats in the VIP section, very close to the stage. What can I say that has not been said before...his voice, his passion, his moves, his face, his smile...LOVE THAT LUIS. One fan managed to get to center stage and hand him her scarf...she motioned for him to wipe the sweat from his forehead, which he did, and then he handed the scarf back to her with a smile. There was a young man next to me, about 26 or 27 years old, who said he was from Oregon...no Hispanic background, he said he just loves Luis' voice and the passion with which he sings...and to my amazement he knew every word of every song Luis did. Sept. 16 is Mexican Independence Day, and the audience appeared to be predominately Hispanic, but everyone was mesmerized by Luis. The only disappointment was that he did not perform my favorite song, "Besame Mucho". I flew to Las Vegas strictly to attend the concert and I would have given anything had he performed the next night, and the next, and the next. Can I describe it in words....wonderful, fantastic, mesmerizing, passionate, amazing, spellbinding...NO...mere words are not enough. Now I cannot wait for another concert. To see him is to indeed LOVE THAT LUIS.

I AM IN SERIOUS WITHDRAWAL NOW THAT LUIS' U.S. CONCERT TOUR IS OVER. I HAVE BEEN RELISHING EVERY MOMENT OF HIS NEW YORK CONCERT AND RELIVING IT OVER AND OVER IN MY MIND. I HAVE IT REALLY BAD THIS TIME.HE MORE THAN MADE UP FOR FEB 14. HE WAS IN SUCH A GOOD MOOD AND THE AUDIENCE WELCOMED HIM WITH OPEN ARMS AND WITH SUCH AFFECTION.IT WAS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC.HIS VOICE WAS IN TOP FORM, PEOPLE WERE VISIBLY AFFECTED BY,AND IN AWE OF HIS PERFORMANCE,CHECKING EACH OTHERS' REACTIONS, SIGHING, SCREAMING, SWAYING,DANCING. EVERYBODY GOT SWEPT UP IN EVERY SINGLE SONG. BUT HE BROUGHT THE HOUSE DOWN WITH HIS MARIACHI SEGMENT... WHAT A VISUAL AND AUDITORY TREAT! HE WAS HAVING SUCH A GREAT TIME IT WAS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL TO WATCH.. AND THAT VOICE! STRAIGHT FROM HEAVEN! WHAT A SHOW. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW I'M GOING TO SURVIVE TILL HIS NEXT TOUR. KISSING THE LITTLE GIRL AND HOLDING UP THE TANGA, LAUGHING AS HE TRIED TO CONTINUE SINGING WAS SOOO CUTE! HOW HE CONTINUES TO OUTDO HIMSELF IS JUST AMAZING. SEE HOW HE DID WITH 2 SOLDOUT SHOWS IN ELPASO: http://www.billboard.com/billboard/charts/boxscore.jsp I JUST HOPE TALK ABOUT HIS BEING ON THE COVER OF THE NEXT PEOPLE (ENGLISH) IS TRUE! THAT SHOULD HOLD ME OVER TILL HE RESUMES HIS TOUR IN EUROPE AND SOUTH AMERICA! NOOOT!

Hi guys, I was at the NY and Philly concerts, too. They were like a combination gift for my March 24 (the big 5-0) birthday and our April 16 anniversary (31 years!)Unfortunately, I ate something bad in the airport ON THE WAY to the concerts. I attended the NY concert and was thrilled to see our guy filled to the brim with energy and charisma, he was exquistite, as I expected. But, by the time I got to the Philly concert, I hadn't been able to eat much for 2 days and was so weak I could barely stand up. So, I was very depressed because here I was at the LAST concert and was not able to really get in with the 'party', but instead sat with big tears running down my face all night -but still watching every spectacular move he made, like a dream. Also, I had been elated because I had managed to buy a row 1 seat, I would be able to give him my flowers with my name and website on it, but it was not to be, as there was a row put in front of mine. And the first 3 rows were solid, with _no aisle_ in the middle. So, since I was in the middle, there was something like 30 people to my left and 30 to my right, and I knew I would never get out. My seats were just as good, I mean I could see him, beautifully, in all his glory(!), but the only difference was I would not be able to give him the flowers. It is sad for any fan who must travel because LM does not come to their area, because it means never having hope of being one of the 'elect' fanclub members from that area who get to sit in the _real_ front row and offer him flowers. I finally gave up and threw my flowers on stage, but they were inadvertantly stomped by the girl who got on stage, so he didn't pick them up. Como Duele. Well, enough whining... now let me tell you about him:

If I thought he was good before in all the concerts I've been to, let me tell you something, he was really _ON_ for these 2! Such sparkle, so much power and he didn't make one vague move - every move was crisp and full of pizazz. His voice was impeccable. So many singers have 'something' that makes them popular. Luis Miguel is not like them - he doesn't have 'something' - he has _EVERYTHING_! The man is beautiful in every sense of the word. His voice carries you like you are caught in a UFO beam that is lifting you above the ground! Unlike group singers who take turns with singing the lead in the songs, they get a little break when it isn't their turn. The power and energy of Luis Miguel are amazing and it is totally enthralling to watch this one man put forth so much of it in his concert, nonstop. -His physical beauty , oh my, what can I say, if you've seen him.... you already know that you can't take your eyes off him! So many different forms of beauty coming from him, totally engulfing and putting all your senses on OVERLOAD! I had made a sign especially for the song "Amorcito Corazon", and when he sang that song, I stood and held it up when he was right in front of me. He read it and then looked at me - smiled and winked. I will live on that for the next 2 years...

I have been to a concert for each of LuisMi's last five tours and I must say that the performance I enjoyed here in Orlando on 2/18/02 was THE BEST so far! As incredible as it may seem, he is getting better and better with age. This concert was particularly meaningful to me because at long last I convinced my mom to go. She has always said that those concerts are just "too loud for her". Needless to say, she didn't even let any of us talk to her during the concert she was so into it! It was the funniest thing! We were sitting in an awesome spot. . .the closest I have ever been. AHHHHHHH, I have no words!!!! Que viva EL REY!!!!

April 1st in San Antonio, TX at the Freeman Coliseum - The concert was absolutely great. Parking at the Freeman Coliseum or rather finding the parking at the Freeman Coliseum was not too easy. The roads around this place were either closed down or under construction. The floor of the coliseum was not air-conditioned. But...we had great tickets. I had bought tickets at Ticketmaster the moment that they went on sale. I got tickets within about 2 minutes, but they were in the second section back on the floor. About a week before the concert, my friend, Kay, bought us 2nd row, center section tickets. We were Section B, Row 2, seats 5 & 6. My G-O-D...he is even more gorgeous up close. Really!!!! Perfect face, jaw, fingers, smile, tan, hair, etc. Luis's picture should be under the dictionary under gorgeous. He sounded unbelievably great, also. I want more concerts! I don't want him to stop touring in April. I sure hope he posts more dates in May or even in June. I can dream, huh? I hope that y'all are able to go to many concerts. Kay and I went to 3 concerts in Texas. San Antonio was my favorite. Of course, when you're that close, the view is amazing!!! Sharon in Austin

His concert in Tucson, AZ was Saturday, April 6th and as usual, he was awesome, fantastic, great and gorgeous as usual. He was 1/2 late in starting which is usual but he sang for 2 hours. It was cold and windy and this was held outside so we didn't get to see his manly chest as he wore a black t-shirt under another black shirt and a white t-shirt under another white shirt. My teeth were chattering the whole time even though I had a black sweat shirt and a black Luis Miguel T-shirt. A girl somehow got onto the stage while he was singing but the guard got her off before she could get to Luis. The concert was a sell out 10 minutes after they were on sale on March 15th and I can tell you there were a lot of people who were very disappointed. I had a young man from Calif. e-mail me and ask if I could get him some tickets, also a girl from El Paso. I tried but to no avail. I had a great seat and didn't even need my binoculars. His sold-out concert was the hottest ticket in town that night and the feminine roar from the amphitheatre could be hear two miles down the road as one of the reporters wrote in his column. A couple of thousand dutiful men husbands and boyfriends were part of the 4600 who attended.

I have never been to a Luis Miguel concert, however, I am a very big fan! The Mis Romances Tour is my first opportunity and I was so thrilled to see him, that I purchased tickets for April 12 at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Since that time, I have found out that Luis will be in Philadelphia, much closer to me on April 13. I would like to sell my tickets (2) to the NY concert (for the price of the tickets - no rip off) and attend the concert in Philadelphia. Although, I am sure I would enjoy seeing Luis two nights in a row, back-to-back, I cannot afford to do so. If anyone is interested in my NY tickets, please contact me at: bhenri@mlundy.com. Meanwhile, I look forward to an evening with Luis and although I do not speak or understand spanish...with Luis, that does not matter in the least! Bernetta

I attended his concert on April 2 in McAllen, Texas. I took my mother(who is severely depressed due to open-heart surgery on 4/10/02) and after the concert she was extremely happy and wanted to know when we could see him again. He also held a 2nd concert on 4/3/02, but I did not get tickets. However, I went to the airport, saw his plane land, and him getting into the limo. Besides the security, I was the only one there. Loved it!

On March 30 Luis Miguel prformed in El Paso, TX. He sang his wonderful songs that I love so much. This was his second performance he had already sang the day before a sold out concert. LuisMi also sold on the second day which was the 3-30--02 that I had the honor of seeing. He followed the same format of his other concerts, which was to me because I knew what to expect. He sang his older song as well as his newer songs. I did'nt really care what he sang just as long as I got see him. There were some of his family there front row center of course. From my understanding everytime his town he stays with his family. One thing I noticed this time was that he looked much happier time around. He looked more alive, more happy I guess you could say. He concert was 2 hours long or should I short. Either way I enjoyed every single minute of it.

ADMIRO A LUIS MIGUEL COMO A NADIE, ES MI AMOR PLATONICO DESDE QUE ERA UNA NIÑA, NUNCA TUVE LA OPORTUNIDAD DE IR A UN CONCIERTO DE EL, YA QUE MI PAIS NO ERA VISITADO POR ESTE. ERA MUY DIFICIL PARA MI, Y SOLO PUDE DISFRUTAR CADA UNO DE SUS DISCOS. ME SE TODAS SUS CANCIONES, TODAS SON BELLAS NO HAY UNA QUE HECHE DE MENOS. ACTUALMENTE ESTOY RADICANDO EN LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS, EN EL ESTADO DE CALIFORNIA, DESDE EL PRIMER DIA QUE ESTOY EN ESTA SOLO PENSABA EN IR A UN CONCIERTO DE EL Y PODER CONOCERLO EN PERSONA, DIOS ME DIO ESA OPORTUNIDAD Y PUDE VERLO EL PASADO 02 DE FEBRERO, EN EL UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE, DE LA CIUDAD DE LOS ANGELES. FUE LO MAS MARAVILLOSO QUE ME PUDO HABER PASADO, LLORABA DE EMOCION, CANTABA CADA UNA DE LA CANCIONES Y CON TODAS MIS FUERZAS, LE MANDABA BESOS Y LE ME DECIA: SIEMPRE VIVIRAS EN MI CORAZON, NO IMPORTA QUE NO LO SEPAS, PARA TI PUEDO SER UNA MAS DE TUS FANS, PERO PARA MI TU ERES Y SEGUIRAS SIENDO SIEMPRE LA PERSONA QUE AMO EN SILENCIO, QUE AMARE SIEMPRE, Y QUE NO COMPARO CON NADIE. QUE NO DARIA POR EL. LO AMO CON TODAS MIS FUERZAS, SE QUE ES UN AMOR IMPOSIBLE, PERO NO IMPORTA SEGUIRE AMANDOLO SIEMPRE Y DESPUES HASTA DESPUES DE LA MUERTE. TE AMO LUIS MIGUEL, ERES EL UNICO Y NO HAY MAS. CECILIA

I just have to say that I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD to seeing LUISMI once again here in nyc at the madison square garden. I adore him and i love all of his songs. To me, he is the best!!!! I also have to mention that I hate it when other people try to put him down or talk bad about him (i won't say any names, but he sings azul!!!!) Like they say around here, why does he have to be such a player-hater! What you experience in a Luis Miguel concert is a feeling that is out of this world. I've been to two of his concerts and I'll be going to the next one here, and I'm as excited as I was when I went to see him for the first time. Luismi, you will always be the MAN!!!!!!!

I can't believe it! He is performing (April 7) at the Grady Gammage in Tempe, AZ on the campus of ASU. This is the premier venue in AZ, designed by Frank Loyd Wright, acoustics are the best. And I will be leaving on a trip that day... D#%N ! Thanks anyway Sandy for the heads-up. Please go and tell me about it!

Yo me compré mi camisetita y mi tacita y me fui tan contenta.

LM'S CONCERT TOUR IS SO HOT HE BEAT JANET JACKSON,CREED AND AEROSMITH IN THEIR OWN TERRITORY: http://www.billboard.com/billboard/charts/boxscore.jsp
I WAS AT THE CHICAGO CONCERT WHERE THE ACOUSTICS WAS JUST ATROCIOUS YET HIS VOICE AND PERFORMANCE WERE MAGNIFICENT. AND THE CROWD PARTICIPATION AND APPRECIATION WAS JUST GREAT. LUIS WAS RELAXED AND ENJOYING HIS PERFORMANCE YOU COULDN'T HELP BUT LOVE HIM AND HIS SHOW.ALTHOUGH HE WAS VISIBLY BATTLING THE TERRIBLE ACOUSTICS. THE BEST PART WAS OF COURSE THE MARIACHI..ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE AND LUIS WAS HAVING SO MUCH FUN WITH THEM IT WAS AN ASSAULT ON ALL THE SENSES: SIGHT,SOUND,HEART AND SOUL..WE WERE ALL GIDDY FROM THE EXPERIENCE! OF COURSE THE STRING OF BOLEROS FROM MIS ROMANCES WENT STRAIGHT TO THE HEART AND SOUL,ALMOST A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE. I WAS AT THE NEW YORK SHOW TOO AND SHORT AS IT WAS,HIS PRESENCE AND THE FEW SONGS HE MANAGED TO SING WERE STILL WORTH IT! AND HE DID TRY TO GO ON. HE IS A SHINING EXAMPLE IN HIS PROFESSIONALISM AND IN HIS LOVE OF HIS ART! NO LIPSYNCHING FOR OUR MAN,THAT WOULD BE SUCH A BETRAYAL FOR HIM, AND THAT'S THE MEASURE OF HIS GREATNESS! I AM HOLDING ON TO MY TICKETS BECAUSE AFTER WHAT HAPPENED,HE IS SURE TO MAKE THE APRIL 12 SHOW A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!

Sorry that I am using this method, but the messages I sent to your Email came back. Am a nervous wreck about this concert tonight and didn't sleep all night. Son-in-law says that they search you, scan you, and don't allow tubes for fear that some sick-o would carry explosives in it since 9-11.I need your help to calm me down to at least know what to generally expect. There is no mentioning of Mariachi???? That means NOT. Tania

I've been a Luis Miguel fan for many years and have been to two previous concerts in Miami before the one on Feb. 16th. I must admit that the last one I went to for the Amarte Es Un Placer tour was a bit of a let down as the concert only lasted about 1 hour and 15 minutes and many songs from the album were left out. The performance I witnessed on Saturday in Miami blew that concert out of the stratosphere. In one word it was spectacular. I have never heard Luis Miguel sound better. It was almost as if he wanted to prove that what happened at Madison Square Garden did not have any effect on his wonderful voice. After the third song he gave a message to the people who were at the N.Y. concert saying that he would give then a Valentines gift in April and that he was sorry he could not perform. With all the talk about how impersonal Luis Miguel is this added some humanity to him and got the show off to a nice start. The music was pure magic. I cannot say enough about how good his voice sounded and the energy he put into the performance. I think many were surprised when the mariachis came out because he sang two songs (media vuelta, amorcito corazon) that were mariachi type songs with only his band. Then the lights went out for a couple of seconds and there they were for a 4 song set that was magnificant. At the end of the show the crowd was roaring. My ears were ringing it was so loud. I think everyone in that arena left feeling they had just witnessed a very special performance. Luis certaintly earned his title as "El Rey" that night in Miami.

Wow, that's all I can say. I've been a fan since 1989. I've been to all his concerts in Los Angeles since 1989 with my Mom. No other friend or even my husband understands what his music does to me. I was fortunate to attend his concert twice this year (Jan 31 & Feb 2, 2002) while he performed at the Universal Amphitheater, here in Los Angeles. I am still on Cloud 9 from his performance. I seem to get more fanatic about him and his music each year. He is absolutely heavenly. Thanks for letting me share ;-) Marie

I have been waiting to see Luis Miguel in concert for some time now. I live in Fort Lauderdale, FL and heard he was coming to the Miami Arena on February 16. I immediately tried to get tickets at Ticketmaster, but the only seats available were in the "nose-bleed" sections. I kept trying every day until FINALLY I got excellent seats on the right-side of the stage 4th row. I bought 2 tickets, one for me and one for my Mom. This was a surprise gift for her for Valentine's Day (and for just being a wonderful Mother)!! She LOVES Luis Miguel and it was her and my Aunt Marylou who introduced his music/videos to me. My Mom is from Puerto Rico and my Aunt is from Spain and they are faithful followers of his music/career. I never heard of him until I moved from New York 9 years ago. I don't speak fluent Spanish (even though I took 3 years of it in school), but I can definitely appreciate the music he sings, the melodies that make you feel so good inside, the lyrics that have so much meaning and the concert performances that make him pour his heart out to everyone who's there. I listen to his music EVERYDAY and I am a better/more well-rounded person because of my new appreciation for Spanish music, whether old songs or new. Anyway, I told my Mother that we were going to go see Cirque de Soleil, so she had no idea we were going to go see Luis. When we got there early, we had to wait on line and she started talking to the people behind us. After a few minutes, she turned to me and said,"Are you sure Cirque de Soleil is here?" I responded," Did I say Cirque de Soleil? I meant to say Luis Miguel!!" Well, my Mom's expression was unforgettable. She couldn't believe we were going to see Luis in concert. She was in shock and very, very, very happy. That made me feel good. My Mom works so hard (2 full time jobs) and she deserves to have a good time!! Well, the seats were awesome (side stage, very close, no binoculars needed). The concert started an hour late (no problem!!) and he came out onto the stage with "Amor, Amor, Amor" and the place went NUTS!! For the next hour and 45 minutes, we sat awestruck at this man who gives 200% into his performance, has a voice so powerful yet angelic, and makes women melt at his feet by his sheer voice and presence. My Mom and I sang every song, danced in the aisle and clapped/shouted after every song. After the concert ended, nobody wanted to leave. We wanted more of his music, his band, his mariachi, basically EVERYTHING!! But, I guess, all good things must come to an end. We left the arena on Cloud 9 and feeling so high!! My Mom had a wonderful time, and I want to thank Luis for a spectacular performance and for making my Mom so happy. I know that I will buy the video of this concert tour as soon as it is available.....then we can relive that night all over again. To anyone out there who hasn't seen Luis in concert or aren't sure of spending the $$$$ to go see him, let me tell you one thing.....the $$$$ you spend will be well worth it!!! Don't delay; get your tickets right away and bring a friend/relative/spouse/girlfriend. Your heart will thank you for it!! As for my Mom, i just want to say I Love You with all my heart and always will.....Love, Anthony Joseph.

I went to see luismi last night at madison square garden for valentines day and was completely devastated. My poor luismi got sick and had to cancel the concert after 30 mins that he was singing. He lost his voice and could not sing the way he always does. They are going to reschedule the concert for a later date and i still feel excited to see him again, i hope that he gets well soon. He is still and will always be my idol.

i only found out that luis miguel was having a concert in las vegas, the day i was about to leave for the philippines after a 2 week vacation in the usa. it was a week before d-day, when i left. i got back to the philippines with a heavy heart. it was my dream to see luismi in concert having missed his previous concert during my last trip. for the past 3 days, the concert was on my mind. then i made the decision to fly back to the states. it wasn't an easy decision, having to leave work, the expense, booking a flight ( was on a waitlist ) and purchasing a ticket. i was able to fly back on the day of the concert. i was willing to trade my 75 dollar ticket and pay 300 more for front seat, but i was too embarassed to ask and i was sure i'll get glaring faces! when the first chords rang, there were tears in my eyes and we he sang the first note, his voice reverberated thru my body. boy, it was an exhilarating experience! i've never seen and heard anyone with such an incredible voice, a heavenly gift! every note pierces your heart, thru the veins and in your whole body to an orgasmic experience. i was ecstatic! when he hit that first high note, i was a goner and almost went beserk! everything was so surreal! mind you, i don't know most of the words ( having forgotten my spanish lessons in college ) but i could understand every emotions from the heart. i sang along, i hummed like everyone else and i felt i belong ( being an asian at that); not only to the spanish speaking people but to the people who love this man with an angelic voice and charismatic persona, his music. the man they call el idolo, luis miguel!

Ojala y pronto vuelva a Nueva York.

Luis opened the newest concert venue, "NextStage" in Grand Prairie, Texas on Saturday night, February 9th, 2002. If you have a chance to go there, don't miss it. And if you get a chance to see Luis live, DEFINITELY don't miss him. Needless to say, he was superb. My wife and I sat in the second row, and if not for the stupid bitches who crashed the stage area, it would have been a perfect night. I wish security would have kept them away. It really pissed me off, especially since I layed out some serious bucks for those tickets. Nevertheless, "Micky" thrilled she and I. Luis is the consommate professional, and he gave his all for the concert. His charisma, talent and superb voice made me leave wanting more. I can't wait to see him again soon. Jack Thompson

Nextstage in Grand Prairie, TX (Dallas). I wish that I could tell you that Luis Miguel gave a 110% last night......but, he performed at 3,000%. He was absolutely fantastic. He was in such a good mood. He flirted with the crowd as he sang, in fact, he even winked a one girl that was standing next to the stage and singing along with him. He spent no less than 3 songs touching the hands of the people that rushed the stage. There was a screened fence that separated the audience from the stage, but that didn't stop some lucky fans from jumping on stage. His voice filled the auditorium. Nextstage did have great acoustics for his rich, deep, resonating voice. I do not know of another singer that is able to fill any area with HIS voice alone. That heavenly creature sings solo without any harmony, and this just amazes me. Remember - please send any information that you might have on how I can start a LM fan club in Texas for the Southwest. I'll write to y'all on the San Antonio concert. Kay and I are still undecided on El Paso. Oh, I forgot to tell y'all a little tid-bit. In Houston, Kay and I stayed at the Renaissance Marriot right next to the Compaq Center, and so did his crew. We watched them enter and leave the hotel on his 3 buses. I wish that I was going to Chicago this Tuesday. With lone star dreams of Luis, Sharon in Austin.

Hello Everyone, LM concert at Nexstage came and went in a flash. It seemed to be very quick. The hour and 40 minutes went by SOOOOO fast that when the show ended it felt like it should only be intermission but alas after the encore that was it and LM most likely was whisked away into his limousine and went to who knows where if not straight into a plane and down to one of his homes to rest. He had to be whisked away quick since the roads leading to Nextstage are narrow and he would be stuck in traffic :). There was a limousine with a police escort seconds after the concert and so it must have been him. This time around I did not get a ticket close to the stage but now that I saw the people (women) were able to get close maybe just maybe I'll be crazy enough to do that someday. A couple girls did get onstage and he was kind enough to lean over to the others and they could have easily jumped on stage which would have been a nightmare for the security crew. Big "Bubba" was there on one side, I think its the same one I saw last time he was in Dallas, but it was a funny pose this big man grabbing the waist of LM just in case one of those girls decided to pull him down from the stage. My daughter was tired, thirsty and hot the hour wait time for the concert to start (9:00pm)didn't help her but she did say that "He looks pretty but without all that sweat on him and the song she liked the most was the first one Amor, Amor..." So, for my daughter that is a pretty good review considering that she is an 8-year old jejeje. I am taking this opportunity to say to LM and his whole staff/musicians organization that I commend him for sticking to the music world for so many years (20). For giving up his life to the music and to the public. LM could have retired a long time ago and most likely would have had a comfortable life and yet his dedication to his public, to give a quality live (no playback) performance is quite a feat. No wonder he looks a bit tired that is a lot of years giving every performance all you've got. If you don't think so, just look at the way his veins strain to get that note. There aren't too many entertainers that give so much for so many years, I hope someway, somehow he is going to get a tribute by his musical peers instead of jealousy they should really get together and do something publically to honor his worth as an entertainer and performer. Even after so many stage performances he still has a shy streak to him, I think that is really cute. Last night LM spoke YES he actually spoke, I was so surprised that I didn't catch it very well. Of course it was a couple of sentences but still for LM that is a lot. It was something to the effect of how many pretty women there were yesterday and then he said something else that I didn't catch partly because the place is brand new and the acoustics are fantastic and the resonance was too much for my ears. Actually I think that his musicians were pleased with the place. After playing in different places one probably judges on the quality of the acoustics etc. and Nexstage really gives a lot of punch, I thought a bit too much punch last night. I would have liked to hear his voice accapello there so that one could really appreciate his talent, it was being drowned by the instruments too much at some points. He was making a lot of hand movements and signals to his crew but I do not know how much they were truly listening to him or whether those signals are just part of his style of singing. The Mariachi part was great it really got the crowd revved up, all that male testosterone singing, it was impressive how their barotone voices carried throughout the whole place. I do not want to give to much away so that there will be an element of suprise for those that still are going to see him. I have one question to those that have been to his concert already. Was there a curtain hanging full or roses? I wonder if he changes some scenery for each show???? I was bummed because apart from sitting farther back he sang towards the people on his left and I was sitting on his right. He did go over to sing on our side when he sang Sin Ti and another song but mostly he had his own choir of 4 audience girls that were standing up front on his left side, his 2 back up girls had some competition :). He seemed to have fewer people on this tour than the past one, I don't know maybe it's just my imagination. Oh, yes and there was the usual underwear thrown towards him, someone threw this black and white bra and there were roses, flowers and bears. His mood seemed to be happy and he looked like he was enjoying himself. It will be a sad day when LM will have his last performance and the curtain will go down for the last time. I hope to be part of that crowd, as a culmination to a life and a career worth living and I hope that he will have the strength and the desire to go on these tours, it does not get easier every year but hey at least he gets paid well for his effort ;) So, before I start writing a thesis; Gracias LM para darnos tantos a~os de regalar tu corazon, tu esfuerzo, y tu talento espero que encuentres el amor que te merezca y puedes pasar los genes a otras generaciones :) tal vez en 100 a~os se ve aparecer otra alma como la tuya.. GO see LM, even if you don't speak Spanish, you won't be disappointed...Mando un beso grandote a LM - Ciao - Gosia

Dear Luismi fans, The Houston, Texas concert on Thursday, February 7, 2002 was absolutely fabulous. I bought tickets for my friend from Dallas and on the floor, 9th row, far left side of the stage. The crowd entered the building at about 7:20 P.M. after waiting outside to be let into the building while Luis warmed up. Although it was little chilly outside, the crowed was warmed by Luis's amazing voice. Luis entered the stage at about 8:45 P.M. He glided onto stage in a gorgeous tuxedo as he sang "Amor, Amor, Amor". Throughout the concert, he was signaling to the sound guys to bring the sound or something up. He sang most of the concert with a corded microphone. He even walked over to a speaker an touched the top of it. Kay and I weren't sure whether the speaker had a problem or he wanted it moved. Kay said that he even lightly kicked the speaker. This speaker (on our left side) did impede his interaction with the excited crowd. But, we could still see that beautiful, sparkling, white smile and those gorgeous, twinkling green eyes. Near the end of the concert, silver, glitter pieces rained from the sky. Then, red and white circles floated above our head. Also, there were long silver strips that danced with the music over our heads. (This was different than the "Amarte Es Un Placer" concert where we were sprinkled with red and white heart paper cut-outs.) Kay and I will be at the concert in Grand Prairie, Texas tonight. Tomorrow, I'll be awaiting the April 1st concert in San Antonio, Texas. Kay and I will decide today if we are going to attend the concert in El Paso on March 29th or March 30th. I desperately want to start a Texas fan club for Luis Miguel. If you are able to help me information on this, please e-mail me at hotdiggetyskm@yahoo.com. With dreams of Luis, Sharon in Austin, TX

The concert that I attended was in Houston, Texas on 02-07-02. The concert was awesome. I didn't have the best seats in the house but I had a really nice view of him. He was so beautiful. Yes a man can be beautiful! I have not been to a concert of his since 1994. So it was a real treat to see him again. I screamed all the way through the concert like a mad woman. I have been a fan since 1992 and I am American I did not grow up speaking Spanish I learned it listening to Luis Miguel's songs. Luis sang all the songs I have been listening to for years. He sang one of his own favorites Sin Ti which is one of my favorites also. When he brought out the Mariachi's I totally freaked out. I love that style of music and when Luis sang I wanted to cry. There is nobody in any other language that can sing like he does. If you don't grow up speaking Spanish Luis Miguel can surely teach you! He taught me! He is by all means the best.

Hello Everyone, Well, this the preview of the concert tomorrow in Dallas, TX. My daughter (who is 8) will be coming with me and this will be her first time to see LM live, and so she is looking at her mom with this strange demeanor as though saying c'mon mom settle down. So, I say to her LM is COMING TO TOWN and she says yeah, yeah, hopefully this skinny little girl will come away with a more upbeat idea of how LM sings...she knows who he is. He will be performing at a new place that was recently built called NextStage. You can check it out at www.nextstage.com (Sandy that is a truly funny KODAK moment!!! I really had a laugh with that one)...- Gosia

Denise - I just thought to tell you that you can buy tapes of two of his concerts. El concierto (1995) comes in VHS and is wonderful. VIVO is the live performance from his Amarte es un placer tour (Loving you is a pleasure album) - it is available on VHS & DVD. So you can still see him on stage! Hey, and check out the video on my site, you can see him now!

Oh dear, Denise, you don't have to KNOW Spanish to attend a concert! Plenty of people there don't speak one word of Spanish. He just finished 6 nights at the Amp, wish you could have gone and seen him. But! at least you've found his wonderful music and are beginning the long and wonderful world of living on his music. If you want more boleros, buy the cds with the word Romance in the title. If you would also like some pop/ballad cds, buy the others. You will not find a bad song on any of his cds -every song, every album - a complete gem. If you go to some place like http://www.cdnow.com you will find real audio from all the songs on the cds and get a good idea of what they sound like. I have various songs translated here with sound files, but not every song from every album. Welcome!

Denise, seems like you are delighted with Luis Miguel now!!! You can understand all his fans now, how crazy they go for this guy!!I also love that song "Que sabes tu?" his voice is just too angelic!! no wonder Mariah Carey loved Luis Miguel singing to her ear huh??? lol...jumping to another note here... I went to a concert in L.A. on Feb 1st!I can't address any better on how spectacular he was. I went with a group of friends (crazy girls for this guy, hehe). Well, we drove from San Diego to L.A. and as soon as we got to the parking lot we went to eat something and drink something before the show. It was just emazing how all the white and latin waitresses knew about the concert... their eyes were watery showing their sadness because they had to work that night but i did cheer one cup of tequila for them!! hehe. Everyone there seemed to be relaxing before the show, walking around Universal Walk... you were able to identify so many couples (of all ages/young and older)that were going to the concert because of how they were dress. If you have been to his concerts, all of you know how to be dress right? yep! dress to glamourly-impress!! (now you get it why i go to his concerts? so many beautiful women!jeje).. I loved the one in Vegas when he toured Amarte Es Un Placer, it was awesome!!! anyway, so it was the time of the night to meet this crooner of hearts, as his fans call him: El Rey or Luismi... yep at around 9:15pm he came out!! Amor amor amor!!!The whole crowd was on their feet screaming and clapping like locos!!!what else can you ask on a romantic concert right? but 3 passionate love words!! though i had a date, it seemed like if i was on my own! she was going wild as soon as my date saw him... but oh well, through out the concert you could start going to all these emotions he was transmitting with his music, with his awesome voice. To be honest i couldn't believe i was crying when he sang that song... yep! it was "Que sabes tu?" (i hate my ex! hehe j/k) and also on "Hasta Que Me Olvides" and "Como Duele"... to give this note to the fans, Luis Miguel was actually crying when he was singing "Hasta Que Me Olvides" and "Como Duele"... you shoulded have seen the crowed!!! they were broken hearted by that...as if they were the ones crying for someone else... but then the confort reply after he was done with those two songs the lights were off, very dark and he just said: " Gracias!". Then he changed the tempo again!!! yep! i'm jumping to the Mariachi's part!!! i'm not going to say much but: He needs a full Mariachi CD to be released!! He has his own and better style in Mariachi then others out there in that gender. Then he can release his "sooooo awaited English cd" (which i doubt he'll release it soon). anyways... so after and before the concert ended, he came back with his ultimate unforgiven songs of his past: "Sera Que No Me Amas", "La Chica Del Bikini Azul" and " Cuando Calienta El Sol"...he stalyed on stage for a while saying goodbye as never before seen by me. Kept coming back and forth from stage, jumping like a little kid full of joy.... and kept doing this Hasta Luego move of his hand on forehead to the crowd! He is still the king!!!Adios.... ***besos***

I cannot say anything about his concerts, because I have not been to any. I am not Spanish. I am an African American female who LOVES Luis Miguel. I heard a song quite by accident over a spanish station in Los Angeles and fell in love with the voice (and music). I asked my Spanish-speaking friend, "who sings a song called Que Sabes Tu?" She told me Luis Miguel. I immediately went to purchase the CD. I cannot get enough of it. I love every song on the CD and play it over and over. I purchased a Spanish/English dictionary to help me translate the words. Either way, even not knowing the words, I just fell in love with his voice and his orchestrated. Yes, the Latin American community has a dream-boat of a singer. LUIS MIGUEL!

Well, I too had a Luis marathon! I attended 4 out of the 6 shows at the Universal Amphitheatre onTuesday, Thursday, Saturday (thanks to being a lucky winner from KLVE), and Sunday. He was breathtaking! So beautiful! From the moment he appeared onstage, I was under his spell. What a wonderful entertainer! It's amazing how much energy he gives to his audience, and how his voice never seems to give out. He is truly a gift to us. I could go on forever about how wonderful my experiences were, but I'll just leave it at that. I'm so glad to have been able to see him so much last week, and am sad that it is over. I can't wait to see him again. He's my "Amorcito Corazon". Besos, Julie

My Luis Marathon started in Vegas and went 5 nites straight in LA!!! We had floor seats in Vegas and his performance as always was flawless. We meet several fans from all over the world. A couple staying with us at the Bellagio had flown in from Spain just to see the show and during the concert we meet these great people from Mexico who had just gotten into town and had succesfully gotten tickets from a scalper. I went with my mother and sisters to the LA concert on Tuesday and he was even better than in Vegas, if that is possible, he seemed more relaxed and his voice was AMAZING! On Wed. the show started a little later but again he was wonderful. On Thursday, there was a horrible incident near the section we wer sitting on the right side of the stage. There was an elderly man I would guess in his 80s and it looked like he had a heartattack! His head was thrown back and he looked like he was not breathing... It was during the time Luis Miguel was singing "Sin Ti". At first I don't think he really noticed all the commotion, but within minutes the security at Universal had a paramedic and security here to clear the isle and escorte the viejito out with his family. It was so horrible to witness but by the time they moved him he seemed to regain consiousness. I think Luismi noticed after awhile but continue to sing as I'm sure he was unaware of the seriousness of the incident. The last night I was him was on Saturday with my sister and we had wonderful seats on the floor, I think he was having some sound difficulties but as always he gave 110% and gave the audience the perfection and show that only he can give!! The last concert was bittersweet as I know it will be at least another 2 years before he will be back in concert. What a consumate performer and talent really a gift from Dios!!

I went to see Luis on Saturday January 26th at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. It was such an awesome experience!!!!!!! It was so astonishing to see people from other races there. I was able to see Anglos, Asian, & African Americans!!!!! It's great to know that he is bringing the American Market to his concerts rather than him having to "cross over!!!!" Another thing we took a friend that had NO opinion on him, after the concert she was totally in LOVE!!!!!! Just like the rest of us!!!!!!!

Concert Review--January 31, 2002 Universal Amphitheatre By Sue M.
Nights have been freezing cold lately in Los Angeles but not this evening if you were lucky enough to be among the sold-out concert-goers for Luis Miguel. First you were to be warmed up with four numbers from his latest, red-hot selling cd, MIS ROMANCES even before he chose to greet the audience! If you are at all familiar with that new cd, check out the playlist for the 2002 Tour at: www.angelfire.com/musicals/luismiguel/tracklist.html.

Permit me to restate this introduction with emphasis: Luis Miguel gave fully-realized versions of three classic boleros; all challenges to sing and all great pleasures to listen to before we even had time to catch our breath from the sight of him resplendent in a tuxedo flanked by huge vases full of red roses on either side of the stage! What a way to start a concert! His speech was short , sweet and only in Spanish this evening. Luis Miguel came to sing for us some of the songs he prefers, to thank us for our patronage during his stellar 20-year career, and to celebrate life through music. How to choose and describe the brightest gems in this treasure trove of a presentation is a strong challenge. The last half of the first part was especially memorable. Como Duele stands out especially because of the audience’s initial cry for joy at the sound of the introduction to this newest Armando Manzanero-composed hit. Como Duele has been at the top of Los Angeles’ Spanish radio request lists for several weeks. The tango medley that followed was especially charming because Luis Miguel is known to love this Argentinean song form. He appeared to be especially pleased with the joy of performing this medley. He coaxed his band with one hand behind his back to keep the accompaniment rhythmically energetic but subtle in volume so the lyrics were not overwhelmed. The band was then turned loose to rip up a great live version of La Ultima Noche. No one stayed seated for that first part finale. It was perfect to see Luis Miguel rocking out in his tux since the retro-pop 60’s arrangement of La Ultima Noche has an obvious James Bond theme flavor. The blistering trumpet solo at the song’s close was nailed by one of his outstanding tour regulars in his horn section. Arturo Sandoval would have been proud! There was no time planned for extended solos by band members this time as Luis Miguel left the stage only long enough for a two-minute change into a flowing black shirt with matching scarf.

The dark potency of Que Sabes Tu increased the fire for the second half and the glow of Luis Miguel’s voice increased with every song of the program’s second half. La Historia De Un Amor especially glistened with a particularly, measured and tender reading of the lyrics. In past concerts of late, La Historia has been condensed into medley mediocrity but Luis Miguel obviously prefers to sing this simple, wonderful old bolero in its entirety. We were all richer tonight because of his preference. Now most of the audience would probably not agree with me on this next gem choice. However, writer’s prerogative is in play here so the next jewel for me was the medley with the only two Brazilian boleros ever chosen by Luis Miguel for inclusion on his Romance cds. Luis Miguel has never performed them much if at all, as in the case of Delirio, at his past concerts. Naturally they are not showstoppers or mass sing-along opportunities but they were ripe with sensuality and done to perfection this evening. My evening was complete!

Luckily for the audience, however, the concert was not finished. The next three boleros were as well-done as La Historia with Luis Miguel’s impeccable attention to the lyrics as they were also released from the imprisonment of medley format on this concert playlist. If any of these songs are your personal favorites, and you have plans to catch this tour at a later date, Luis Miguel will thrill you with complete versions of La Mentira, Hasta Que Me Olvides, and Sin Ti. The latter two especially benefited from Luis Miguel’s increasing maturity and, perhaps, life experiences in the depth and sensitivity of his interpretations. There was less blaring volume to express emotional climax and more emphasis on lyrical line to carry the listener the heights and depths of feeling. The last medley with three Mexican boleros broke the spell of sadness and you felt the increasing rays of EL Sol as he headed for his first musical home with the inquiry, “Como esta? Bien? Viva Mexico!”. The audience especially participated especially well on Amorcito Corazon and Luis Miguel beamed his famous smile in response. The real big thrill of this segment came next, and in turn, made this set one of the gems of the second half as the Mariachis arrived! The last song of the mariachi medley, Mi Ciudad, always delights me with its especially intricate rhythms and foot-stomping at its close. Two of the four mariachi songs in the medley have not been recorded yet by Luis Miguel and only have been performed as part of his concerts. If his recent admission in interviews that a mariachi cd is under serious consideration as his next project, we can look forward to hearing them as often as we would like someday soon.

Luis Miguel then ducked backstage for a quick change again into a ruffled white shirt just like the one he wore in the video, “Como Es Posible” and reappeared to start the closing section with that song. These former finale numbers were mercifully shortened and benefited from being included in a medley format . They did not have time to run out of steam and energy as a medley. If they were performed separately they would have felt old, ‘been-there, done-that’ since they served for over ten years as extended plays for improvisation. Again, good choice and preference by Luis Miguel! This decision to shorten former finale songs left time for the more of the real fun of the evening; the final medley of Oldies. Now I started my admiration of Luis Miguel with the Busca Una Mujer album so I missed the initial live performances of most of these big hits from his youth. Of course, I researched the original recordings and old clips from concerts or Mexican variety shows. It amazed me that he could still summon up such energy at the end of a concert full of demanding boleros! Luis Miguel looked truly tickled as we all sang Isabel’s refrain with such wild abandon. I guess we are all still teenyboppers at heart after all. And so, after taking us on a thorough tour of his musical career with a practically nonstop, two-hour performance, Luis Miguel was gone from the stage. There were, of course, a few weak cries of “Otra” but most of the audience was too dazzled and drained to demand an encore. Don’t miss any opportunity to see this concert tour. --Sue M. VEGAS: Yes, Vegas was sold out. I met many people there who said something to me about my LM shirt, and so I asked if they had seen the concert. So many times they told me that they had already scheduled the vacation and didn't even know he was going to be there. When they arrived and saw him on the marquee they immediately called to get tickets but it was sold out. I felt so sad for them. Wish he had done 2 nights, they might have had a better chance.

It was Thursday, 1/31/02, @ Universal Amphitheatre, L.A.,CA. It was 5 of us (my 2 daughters (18 & 15), my 81-year old mother and my sister. We sat there anxiously waiting to see him perform - and just to see him there. At approximately 8:45 p.m. the lites go down, the music starts, the stage curtains closed w/lites reflecting on them. Then, the "Big" moment - his opening song was "Amor, Amor, Amor...." (great song). The rest is history. He performed several songs from his new CD and he also performed some of our favorites: No Se Tu, Sin Ti, Delirio and to my mother's surprise he also performed Azul (la manana es azul-we don't hear this song on the radio) and it's one of my mom's favorites. His voice, his personality, his clothing, the matured way he carries himself on stage is just "AWESOME....." I know he's not perfect, but he's perfect enough for me and my daughters. I don' compare anybody to him and I feel that a lot of artists would love to have a little bit of his voice. The show itself was very good; I like the Mariachi part, I enjoy his old pop songs like: Isabel, Cuando Calienta El Sol. At the end of performance he throws roses into the audience, conffeti comes down, rose petals blow out and he disappears through the center screen....it's very sad to see him say good nite - I wish the moments would not end. It's such an experience just to see him there LIVE! We loved it.....I don't go to other concerts, but his!!!!!! ARRIBA "EL REY - EL SOL"

Wow!! What a note by Sally G. Goose Bumps Words!!!hehe What is this man doing to you???:)...Well here i go, i'm a young 23y/o from San Diego California. I visit this site a lot, though i never share anything! yet, hehe I want to congratulate Sandy for putting her time on this site. I use to not like Luis Miguel...but it was way back when i was little :) and that was because of others jealous of this perfect singer...until i was old enough to find my first girlfriend and learn not to listen to jealous people...me and g/f lasted for 2 years and we shared Luis Miguel songs. Same thing happened with my second Girlfriend which we lasted for 3 years and we shared Luis Miguel songs. All of a sudden, i found myself involved in looking so much into this singer's info that to be honest now i'm found in his songs. My ID or my identity is well defined in his Music and even his life, i respect this man a lot, he is a good example to follow for the youth and to others. All that passion, love for life, eager for perfection but yet shy and humble...i was then so into Luis Miguel's music since my first love 'till now. Now lets turn the gears out of my little history here and let me bring you to the date of all times!!!, it happened on Jan. 25th when my friend, my sister and I went to the concert in San Diego... you probably read it all on the news all over the net and news that there was only one lucky girl who got a kiss from L.M. after beating over security: that was my sister!!!!!!! ...i was ... well there is no words... so many emotions you go through on a LM's concerts first of all and to see this!!it was the "cherry on top" sort of say. I'm going to make my sister type it here!! share it with you guys here!!! If you have any pics of this from that concert in SD let me know please. If you want to keep in touch with me and start writing e-mail me then! take care!! besos!! Efrain (efrainjr78@hotmail.com)

I was introduced to the music of Luis Miguel only 6 years ago by a man I was dating. The romance with this guy was absolutely propelled by the music of the Romance series. Although the guy and I split, I found that a new level of appreciation for love had been inspired in me by Luis Miguel. I began to find others who were connoisseurs of his music. Later I found that I was deeply involved spirtually by this man's music, his demeanor, his presentation and utlimately, the curse had been placed upon me. . . his personal life. I went so far as to purchase literture relative to Mariah Carey just to appease my thirst of information about this phenomenom of a man. I was treated to one of his concerts back in 1996, the seats were located just below the balcony and a hughe speaker hung from the ceiling in our path of vision. I had to depend on the big screen to enjoy the show. This time, I saw him on Wed., Jan 30 @ Universal Amphitheatre. My seat was in the mid-orchestra section. Plus I armed myself with a disposal camera. Everything was perfect. He sang and sang and sang without a pause from one song to another. I could only think about where I was at each event that I experienced while first hearing the songs that he sang live before my very eyes. He was kind, shy, gracious, perfect and in control. The perfect man. What a delicious experience this man is. I'm so glad that there are still only millions who can appreciate this private reserve. Once it becomes billions who enjoy him, the experience can never be as private as it was that night. Gracias Luis Miguel por todo que eres. During times like we have recently experienced in the U. S. - your natural talent and beauty reminds us of what God truly intended for this world. God Bless.

Vegas, Mandalay Bay, Jan 26
It was so good to see him perform again. It is like living without the sunshine to go so long without seeing him. But, once in his presence all the waiting is replaced with his light and energy. When he appeared on stage, it was the way it feels when you are outside and it is gray and cloudy, and suddenly the sun breaks thru the clouds, and your arms get goosebumps as the sun carresses them. We were all caught up in the feeling of once again being in the 'grand party' that Micky offers us. But, while we were waiting for the concert to begin, the crowd chanted, screamed, stomped and clapped. Once when it got quiet, I took the opportunity to scream out "Muriendo por verte!" (I'm dying to see you!) I would like to think he heard me, but???

It was thrilling to hear so many of the songs from the new cd. I was delighted that he sang the unrecorded mariachi number (Mi Ciudad) that he sang in Vegas for the RomanceS concert. And this time, I think I beat the guy next to me in knowing the words (well, maybe we were having a contest as to who could spit out the words fastest, and this one not being recorded, I finally got the edge, since I knew it from before)

Being a fan that only found him in 1995, I've been sad to think of all the wonderful songs I missed hearing/seeing him sing. Never did I imagine there would be another opportunity to hear him do some of them, but when he came back for his encore, the music started again, and my head was spinning... "what is that?... I know that, but I can't...Oh my GAWD! He's singing "Ahora te puedes marchar!" He did several of his hits from his youth, and I was in heaven, feeling like I'd been given a chance to go back in time! Thank you Micky!!!
