It's not often that an _English_ fan gets any notice from the press on the subject of LM concerts. But here's a story that appeared in her local newspaper, where they actually came out and interviewed this 82 year old fan, and president of the Tucson fan club, about LM! I'm sure it was a proud moment for her! :

Luis Miguel met the expectations of his Tijuana fans in his first concert in El Foro. Lucía Alejandra Riquero, 27 years: Padrísimo(the bomb!), I'm sorry I didn't by better tickets so I could be closer to him. I highly recommend his show! Patricia Bojóorquez: Extraorndinary!, LM left made us very happy, this is the kind of spectacular event that this city needs, with quality music of the top standard... I hope we can continue to get shows here of this magnitude. Ignacio Castro, 30 years: Truthfully, LM was excellent, (*not sure what the first part Ignacio says is - 'se me hizo una persona sencilla, cumplió con creces'), but he definitely feels it was worth the money he paid, as they all left enchanted! Aracely Lizárraga Zazueta: The quality of person that he let's us see throughout the concert, and the music and style of dressing all appeared great to me. Mayra Lizárraga: He was fabulous, more than we even hoped for. I've seen him in San Diego many times, but it was great to see him in Tijuana. I'm so happy that he sang 'Amor, Amor'.

I don't know if it is a repeat of the same show, or a different one, but the same channel has a Valentine Special at 8pm tonight, eastern time. For having broken his own record with 24 dates in the Nat Aud, and having surpassed 1/2 million copies sold in less than 4 months, LM received several recognitions Thursday. In a brief ceremony in the Aud Nac, El Sol received a quintuple platinum (500,000 sold) from the general director of Warner Mex, Sergio Affonso Fernández. Also, Maria Cristina García, general director of the Aud Nacional, presented the singer with recognitions for his being the artist with the highest number of concerts there in the same season, and also for being the artist with the highest number of concerts there in total, 121 dates from 1991. The event was attended my only a handful of the most important news reporters of the country, amongst them, esmas.com. LM said a few words in appreciation and left to prepare for tonight's concert. In Dec 2003, album "33" received a Grammy nomination in the category Best Latin Pop Album, which was won by Alejandro Sanz. LM started his "33" tour last Oct in Vegas and continued to Laredo, Houston, Cleveland (*cancelled), Chicago, New York, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Puerto Rico and Chile. Later he presented in Chile and Argentina, where he brought together more than 100,000 followers with 3 concerts. In Mex, he started his tour with 16 dates, but kept adding more dates until he reached 24. This week the ticket sales started for his 2 most recently revealed dates, Feb 14 & 15.
