QUICKIE ENGLISH TRANSLATION: "El viajero" is a composition of Roberto Sierra and José Martinez, said Warner. "México en la piel", the first ranchero album recorded by the artist will be released in November. The night of the 15th of Sept is the celebration "Shout of Independence", commemorating the day in 1810 when priest Miguel Hidalgo made a call for the patriots to become independent of Spain. LM's album also includes "Sabes una cosa", Echame a mí la culpa", "En mi viejo San Juan" and "Que Seas Feliz", with a total of 15 themes, in which LM is accompanied by Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. Now he continues with his '33' tour in Europe, after which he will present in Guatemala, El Savador, Costa Rica, Panamá, Colombia, Ecuador and Perú. Luis Miguel is one of the most important to the field of romantic ballads in México. He recorded his first cd at 12 years, and received his first Grammy at age 15. In 1987 he released "Soy como quiero ser" and with the colaboration of Juan Carlos Calderón, earned 8 golden records and 5 platinum, selling over 47 million CDs.

The special that is on AZT 13 (dishnetwork=Azt TV) Is actually the program called Ojo del Huracan. It will be on at 9pm in Mexico City. I live in the USA, and my tv guide only says ESPECIAL, 8-9pm EASTERN TIME/zona este. So be sure to check your own tv guide tonight, it may say 'Ojo del huracan' or it may say 'Especial'. Don't forget the other special on Galavision tonight on Sábado Músical. (note below)
ESPAÑOL: El especial que va a pasar en AZT 13 (dishnetwork=AZT TV) esta noche, sábado, es en el programa 'OJO DEL HURACAN'. Se pasan en Mex DF a las 9 horas (9-10pm). Pero en Los Estados Unidos el tiempo es 8-9 pm, zona este. Buscas en tu guía del tv para 'Ojo del Huracan' o 'Especial' para encuentrar la hora correcta para tu vencinidad. QUICKIE ENGLISH TRANSLATION: It talks about him starting up the second half of his tour again, and that his album "33" is nominated for the Grammy Latinos in the category of Best Pop Male Vocal Album, and in his career has sold nearly 55 million albums throughout the world, and claimed 8 grammys. It also talks about the new album he is working on for possible release in November, in which they say he will be accompanied by the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán. (This information appears to come from the director of that group, Jose Martinez.) It seems that Armando Manzanero took part in the production and as usual, LM will give his own twist to the songs. They indicate that it will surely contain songs like 'Sabes una cosa' y 'Echame a mé la culpa', as well as songs immortalized by Javier Solis like 'En mi viejo San Juan' y 'Que seas feliz'. They're saying the album was made in July in the Ocean Way Studios in Hollywood, CA. That it includes harps, marimbas, flautas, free and classic guitars and affirmed that it will be very contemporary. Now someone named Pepe Martinez (I have no idea if this is another name, like a nickname or middle name for Jose or a family member of his in the same group) anyway, he says that LM has a wonderful voice, and how Micky takes the Mexican music inside of himself and it becomes like part of his own skin, and so Pepe says that he did not compose for him with the hand, but with the heart. He emphasized that the Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, founded 106 years ago in Guadalajara, Jalisco, feels incredibly lucky to work with an artist the quality of Luis Miguel, and that he personally feels like he has won the greatest prize to be able to be his arranger, as he realizes there are many better than himself.

No sé si es verdad o no, pero las noticias de los diarios dicen que LM llegará a España en septiembre:

QUICKIE ENGLISH TRANSLATION: (I don't know if this is the truth or not, but it is being said in the newspapers) LM will go to Spain this coming Sept to present his most recent production (33) in various cities. In agreement with the promoters, LM has to have 7 concerts in Spain, that start Sept 23 in Zaragoza, 2 days in Jaén & the 26 in Murcia. He presents in the capital Madrid on the 28 & 29 of Sept and in Valencia on Oct 1, closing the tour the next day, Oct 2 in Barcelona. The latest work of LM, "33", is a candidate in the Grammy Latino Awards for Best Album Vocal Pop Masculine. With this album, finished in Sept 2003, LM returned to his 'pop' side. "33" is made up of 11 new songs, recorded in LA and produced by LM. In his career, LM has sold more than 50 Million albums and has won 7 Grammy's. (*His song "Te Necesito" rose to the top of the music charts all over the world.) He broke his own record in the past months of Jan & Feb and received an award for 26 consecutive sold out concerts in the Auditorio Nacional in Mex City. :)

*Keep in mind that it seems the gossip channels/mags actually take things they read on fan boards and convert them into reports, which is backward from the way it should be. So one never knows if something you hear from a gossip show or read in a magazine could be from a good source or just be them repeating what some fan wondered about or made up in a forum somewhere! Listen to it, read it, but keep a 'wait and see' attitude.
TRUE OR FALSE?: Last night's 'Ventaneando' show (July 14, TV Azteca) said that November is the month that LM y MD wll carry thru with their plans for a civil ceremony wedding, which will be attended by Alej Basteri, brother of the singer.
TRUE OR FALSE?: Today's July 15 'La Oreja' show mentions that LM will give a concert in Panama on Oct 15. There's been lots of gossip along these lines, but nothing has been said officially about any re-starting of his 33 tour.

QUICKIE ENGLISH TRANSLATION: LM unharmed in traffic accident in his $400,000. Mercedes Maybach in a well known section of Beverly Hills at the intersection of Doheny and San Vicente at 4pm, July 7. According to 2 witnesses, the car driven by LM hit a Lincoln Navigator. LM stayed in his car for more than an hour while the report was being made on the accident. At first, he was unrecognized, but it didn't take long for someone to do that, and request autographs, which he didn't consent to. I can understand that though, not the best moment for anyone. He was accompanied by a woman that was not identified.

I don't know if the special is still on for Sat 10PM on Galavision or not. They did run commercials advertising it, but they have a futball game scheduled, so maybe they will show it after, or not show it. You'll have to haunt the channel and see if you can find out more. I'm leaving on vacation today.
ESPAÑOL: No sé si el especial de LM va a pasar o no. La semana pasada veía publicidad sobre el especial para Sábado 10pm zona este, Galavision, pero veo que un futball juega es en la guía. No sé, puedes ser que no va a pasar, o pasar despues el futball. Vean Galavision mucho y quizas encuentren also sobre el especial. Me voy de vacacciónes hoy.

Last week I was watching American Idol and after it went off, 'The Swan' (a makeover show) came on. I hadn't really planned on watching it.. but.... when it opened, I almost fell off the couch I was so surprised. Yes, it has to do with something about LM, if you get a chance to watch the show tonight, it's on fox at 9PM eastern, see if you can notice what the connection is with LM!!! I'll tell you later, I know some don't get that channel, outside the USA,but I'll give you the chance to spot it first!
ESPAÑOL: Por casualidad, la semana pasada ví un programa se llama "The Swan" en canal FOX, 9pm zona este. Cuando abrío el programa, ví algo muy interesante, algo de LM. Mira el programa esta noche y tratas encontrar la conneción con LM!!! Voy a compartir el secreto despues, sé que algunas no reciben este programa.
